FRISCO, Texas (July 8, 2022) —US Youth Soccer is excited to announce dates and locations for several USYS National League Regional Showcases that will take place during the 2022-23 seasonal year.
The National League Regional Showcases are focused on providing localized recruiting opportunities. Understanding that a significant percentage of students attend colleges within three hours of the home, the Regional Showcases will bring a recruitable moment closer to a player's home — saving valuable time and resources for the parents, the club, and the attending scouts. These Regional Showcase events are primarily focused on players seeking opportunities to extend their soccer journey into the college game.

Teams in the National League Conferences will get primary access to the National League Regional Showcases, while teams from outside leagues and organizations can apply to participate in the showcases to see if they are able to complete with teams from the National League Conferences.
“Our focus at US Youth Soccer, in particular the National League, is to provide players with opportunities to reach their potential. By offering these regionalized events, we can offer multiple recruitable moments that meet the needs of the players, parents and clubs, while hopefully reducing the cost to the families,” said Simon Collins, USYS National League Commissioner. “These events will provide a great alternative to our national events as an additional opportunity for many players to showcase their abilities for scouts. In an ever-changing soccer landscape where we aim to put the best with the best on a national platform, the addition of these regionalized events will provide a convenient and valuable recruiting opportunity that is nearby many colleges soccer programs, and we look forward to adding more in future seasons.”
The National League Regional Showcases complement other National League competitions, including National League P.R.O., which provides a pathway for teams that qualify out of the National League Conferences and have aspirations of being crowned National League P.R.O. champions. Top performers in National League P.R.O. enjoy the additional benefit of qualification to the USYS National Championships – where winning teams are crowned as the best of the best in the country.
The National League management group members that oversee the conference in which each Regional Showcase takes place will serve as the primary points of contact for each event.
